Senior School - Meet The Head Clarenza Campus

Mr Aaron Dewhurst is the Head of Clarenza Campus at Clarence Valley Anglican School.  Aaron joined the CVAS staff in 2014 after teaching English in a range of schools, including Knox Grammar School, Bishop Druitt College, Central Coast Grammar School and St Clement Danes School.  He held leadership positions in both student wellbeing and curriculum capacities at these schools.
Primarily responsible for the teaching and learning in the Senior School, Mr Dewhurst also oversees the day to day leadership of the Clarenza Campus to ensure the best quality education for our students.  He also teaches English in the senior grades.
Mr Dewhurst’s educational philosophy is that learning opens a world of opportunities; through broadening their cultural and intellectual world, inciting passionate participation in society, cultivating critical and creative thinking and fostering a culture of responsibility and respect, our students are being introduced to the rigorous demands of being an active citizen the 21st century.
“The best ... take a thorough knowledge of the evidence of their subject and combine it with a sharp intellect, the warmest understanding of people and the highest imaginative powers.”
