Junior School - Curriculum
CVAS Junior School is dedicated to providing an exciting, diverse program which is designed to cater for children of all ability levels. There are a mix of single and double streamed classes K-6. Close planning and active social liaison between Stages, from Early Stage 1 to Stage 3, ensures active student engagement in all areas of the curriculum.

At CVAS, the acquisition and development of literacy and numeracy skills at all levels is central to the Junior School Curriculum.The Junior School provides all of its students with access to a quality education, supporting high standards of endeavour, learning and achievement.
The Junior School curriculum includes the six key learning areas as set out by the NSW Board of Studies: English; Mathematics; Human Society and its Environment, Science and Technology, Creative and Performing Arts and Personal Development, Health and Physical Education.
At CVAS Junior School students are taught by specialists Music and Language teachers.
Our rigorous class programs are designed to support and extend the holistic learning experience of each student. To complement classroom programs there are support programs for students needing consolidation of skills and Gifted and Talented opportunities for students who need extension beyond the classroom program.
